Juicy meatballs are nestled on a bed of creamy polenta, all topped off with marinara sauce. A combination of pasture raised ground pork and grass fed ground beef is formed into meatballs and baked until browned and bubbling. Soft polenta acts as the perfect base, soaking up any excess marinara sauce.
Phew, that’s a mouthful! Savoury and satisfying, this veggie packed sauce with grass-fed/grass-finished beef is served on top of roasted spaghetti squash. Nature’s noodles, simply roasted in the oven, a flavourful sauce simmered on the stove, all piled high and topped off with a bright and tangy, vibrantly green parsley caper sauce.
This soup is easy to put together and is packed with hearty and comforting flavours. Don’t be deceived by the strange purple colour, this is the soup I crave when I’m feeling under the weather. Mine may have (accidentally) turned purple. I didn’t think that through when adding purple carrots, but if you stick to orange carrots you can avoid this. Maybe I just need to see the positive… purple foods = anthocyanins = good for you.
Sweet, sour, spicy, salty… these ribs are unctuous and flavourful! Slow cooked slathered in spices, brushed with honey, vinegar and garam masala then back into the oven to become all crispy and caramelized.
A flavourful filling of local pasture raised/finished beef with colourful peppers all wrapped up in crisp lettuce with rice noodles, carrots and cucumbers. If you can’t find large heads of lettuce… worry not, Just double up on the rice noodles and make it a delicious noodle bowl!
A little sweet, a little spicy and a lot savoury…here we have large pan of (grass fed and finished, local) ground beef and some early season local organic broccoli, that we smother in an orange sauce creating a meal that is so So SO tasty! This recipe is super flexible, don’t have broccoli on hand? no problem substitute some kale, cabbage or kholrabi. No ground beef? use ground pork, chicken or turkey. The options are nearly endless and the results are truly satiating.
Quick and richly satisfying, a blend of spices mixed with ground pork makes for intensely flavoured homemade chorizo. Wrapped in warm tortillas, topped with crunchy radish and creamy avocado, these tacos are the stuff dreams are made of.
This slow cooked pork makes the perfect burrito bowl topping or a delicious taco filling. The sweet and tangy sauce keeps the pork moist and flavourful, while crisping it up under the broiler gives it great texture, the result of which is nothing short of delicious!
This soup packs a good amount of heat, that will be sure to make you sweat a little and cool you off on a hot summers day. Sometimes I can’t get the thought of a good ramen* out of my head, and chewy noodles in a hot salty broth haunt me for days. Every once in a while, noodles get the best of me and this is the recipe I use to put my mind at ease.
