Curried Chickpeas
Warming spices, aromatic ginger and garlic, saucy deliciousness. A quick and easy weeknight meal. Simmer chickpeas in a large pot with pureed tomatoes, spices and steeped black tea. Cook up a pot of rice and you’ll be eating a hearty comforting meal, better than any take out chickpeas in no time at all.
Masala Ribs
Sweet, sour, spicy, salty… these ribs are unctuous and flavourful! Slow cooked slathered in spices, brushed with honey, vinegar and garam masala then back into the oven to become all crispy and caramelized.
Indian Spiced Potato Salad
Perfect for a summer picnic or a backyard BBQ, this potato salad is far from the common mayonnaise based salad of my childhood. Toasted spices, lemony red onion, waxy fingerling potatoes and peas that burst in your mouth! So delicious we’ve eaten it with dinner three weeks in a row!
Onion Pakoras
I am definitely lover of nearly anything that’s crunchy and salty. When I feel hunger setting in, rarely do I reach for the chocolate stashed in the fridge (hidden from my chocolate fiend partner), but rather it’s the chips that call my name, and well anything salty really. So when I go out for Indian food I almost always order pakoras, not even realizing how easy they are to make at home. The perfect balance of texture and taste.
